Hannigan, Rooster, and Lily are all carted off. Warbucks befriends the orphans and promises they will have a better life from now on (including school - yuck!!). And then they all sing, in many productions, about getting a "nudie" for Christmas this year. :-)

(Oh, and Sandy makes a big entrance towards the end of the song as he is reunited with Annie.)

How does Miss Hannigan get to Warbuck's mansion to be caught? And does she say to Annie that she never liked her?

(sorry to be obsessive about this but it got me curious.)

No prob lol. Hannigan and the orphans have been invited to the Warbucks mansion for Christmas. And yes, Hannigan says to Annie - "Brat! I'll let you in on a secret - I never liked you, you little gold digger. [Then, to the orphans] And I never liked any of yous either!"

Ah! Great, thanks!

I could have sworn I remembered Alice Ghostley saying something like that in her unique way. As I remember it got a huge laugh and was a great exit line for Miss Hannigan.

This version sort of implied that she ended up with Bundles. Strange that they wanted her to have a good ending when she had been so awful to the kids. (The Carol Burnett version forgave her too. I think she appears riding an elephant at the end---as if that is a good thing?!)

When I saw it, Dorothy Loudon got such a huge laugh on "I never liked you" that I never knew there was any more to the line until years later when I read the script. (She gets dragged off during the line, so no time to pause for the laugh.)
