Not only is it more poetic and beautiful, but it speaks very clearly to what the show is about, the conflict of the two waring sides surrounding them, threatening to tear them apart, but they find each other and come together through the noise and the world melts away so it's just them.
It is such a key part of the show and the movie, for the new movie to do away with that seems a reflection of what these artists who claim to love and admire the original so much do not understand about it and how/why it worked. |
