| He was a lovely, sweet man, as many have said in posts below. He also played Older Buddy in Houston opposite Marilyn Maye as Sally. I first met him in Omaha where he played Frank in SHOW BOAT, and Davis Gaines was Gaylord, and had the pleasure of visiting with him in Los Angeles when he was in LEAP OF FAITH. His part was unfortunately cut when the show went to Broadway. He had such a varied career and was in so many hit shows. I loved seeing him in the Central Park scene, "That's How You Know," in ENCHANTED but didn't know until tonight that he was in the new WEST SIDE STORY movie as a security guard at Gimbel's and somehow missed seeing him. |
