Has there been any information on long covid effects on performers?

I know it's too early to know what will happen with long covid from the omicron variant, but after all this time, and with the high infection rates from the first wave in NYC last year and now omicron, it seems to me that there must be enough long covid cases this might deserve some attention both in the theater world and in general.
Link Don’t dismiss Omicron as ‘mild’. Take it from a Covid long-hauler

This is an essential question. Just being over Covid doesn't mean you can handle a full performance schedule. Most of my friends who've had Covid, including one who recently finished a ten-day period of quarantine, do not get their full energy back for quite a while.

It's correct that we don't know (although we will, more or less, as people who are out now detail their recoveries). But it is important also to remember that everyone is different, and that we don't know what variant everyone who tests positive has. It is promising that people do not seem to be having severe symptoms and most seem to be asymptomatic or nearly so. It's also important to remember in that context that theatre people are being tested relentlessly so we are seeing a lot more of those positive cases than we would if we were talking about people who worked at Whole Foods, e.g. And let's also remember that actors are among the only people who are working masklessly out of necessity.

This is a profoundly important point: perhaps no industry in America is testing as consistently and making real time adjustments quite like the theater, particularly the NYC theater. For all the grousing, and we understand the nuanced discussion about mistakes and audience/consumer frustration, this is a remarkable moment of community solidarity. We can be both moved to tears and awed with clear eyes at the pragmatism.
