The Mockingbird Saturday cancellation hasn't been included. Heading into next week, the company lead by Daniels' last with the show, will be another to watch. It's all just so sad. The number of actors who haven't been able to say goodbye to their roles. Like any job, there's a particular if personal ritual to ending a run, a process actors discuss that's fraught with occasional separation anxiety and acceptance. If you wake up and learn "you gave your last performance two days ago," it's just tragic. I realize, compared to sickness and death, not comparable. But this is a theater board, and this aspect of Covid's influence is devastating.
