| The writing was on the wall when their midday Tweet said “as of now” the show will happen. I don’t see how any of these shows go back to performances in January. Just like last time, they’ve poured their energies into getting every possible performance they still could, rather than just have a - however painful - mandatory two week complete shutdown and possible quarantine, meals paid for and delivered by the producers (or god forbid The Broadway League, thanks Charlotte!). That option would have prioritized the health of the cast and crew; would have prioritized the tri-state region’s health, by lessening social contact in crowded areas and mass transit; and works have prioritized everyone’s health by not encouraging people to hang out in a hot spot and then return to their far-flung homes with an infection virus in tow. Maybe that approach seems extreme, but we should have learned by now that we can’t underestimate this bug. Until we know otherwise, I’m presuming that the best thing we can do is return to as many of the habits of the 18 Month Quarantine as Is possible. Hope everyone is staying safe out there. |

| This is a rather ridiculous suggestion. Broadway actors, stagehands, musicians, and FOH staff should not be forced to isolate in hotel rooms while the rest of us are allowed to go about our lives. And the second they leave isolation, they’d be at risk again. The cost of this would also close most current shows for good. It’s really either these shows continue to try to make things work or they shutter and all of these folks again go on unemployment. | |

| Is it better that Broadway actors, stagehands, musicians, and FOH staff should be exposed to Covid as an occupational hazard while their shows attempt to wring whatever profits they can, only to then close down the shows for good once their mismanagement of the virus makes that model completely unsustainable? Broadway has returned to producing as if it's 2019. At least Off-Broadway is making a few meager concessions to valuing the company's health and quality of life. |

| I'd be interested to learn about what is being done differently Off-Broadway to at all better protect production casts and crews. It seems like a horrible situation right now. | |

| I don't think they're doing anything different in terms of Covid... I was referring to things like many non-profits announcing they're no longer having 10 out of 12s and shifting to 5-day rehearsal weeks rather than the customary 6. | |
