| The Los Angeles run of Hamilton has canceled nearly a month of performances in response to breakthrough cases of Covid in the company. Performances are now scheduled to resume at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre on January 26. | |

| This is weird! Why are they taking such a long break when every other production seems to be cancelling, at most, a week at a time. Feels like maybe something else is going on? Or I'm just bored and trying to imagine life is more interesting. | |

| This is what every show should have done, but they wouldn’t forgo the chance at making some of that Christmas cash. I think we’ll see more shows in NY taking off this next month now that we’re entering the doldrums. | |

| There are (unverified) rumors that the LA production may close down for good because of lack of sales. | |

| The sit down production started around feb 2019 and by the fall it wasn’t selling out and I think they closed the balcony. By January 2020, rear orch was $75 and front orch was around $110. Even without covid, I think it would have closed by summer. There were rumors that the the summer opera was going into orpheum so the seats in opera house could be replaced. | |
