| Oh, I think I'd enjoy it -- I like well-done backstage musicals (or one that at least have some entertaining numbers), and I enjoy the music of the Temptations. I also know that the creative people in charge of this want to make it entertaining. But someone else on this thread (and some others) didn't like the Kennedy Center representation of the show, and it also seemed to me in other clips I've seen to be a case of a bit of trying too much. The Dreams (thinly disguised Supremes, who true didn't move much in performance) weren't doing backflips in "Dreamgirls", and that was mighty entertaining, too. Given their song repertoire and the obvious talent of the people in the show, I'm sure it's entertaining though. |
