| I loved the tour in Boston too. My only reservation was that, even as wonderful as Nicholas Barasch was as Orpheus (and my god, he's only 23!), his approach to the highest notes was rather pushed in a way I didn't personally love. But then again, everyone's voice is different, and not everyone is going to have Carney's vocal approach. So I still come out of it saying that Barasch was quite good. And yes, I thought Kreis was excellent. | |

| I thought Reeve Carney was terrific in ''Hadestown'' and deserved a Tony nomination, alongside his other talented co-stars. | |

| Which performance did you see, Chromolume? We saw the Sunday matinee (1 PM) on Nov 7th and thought Nicholas Barasch was in great voice. Did not detect any pushing for notes, though granted I'm not a musician. All the voices struck me as so strong, with such magnificent delivery, that I commented to my husband that I would like a cast recording of THIS cast. |

| Barbara - I saw it on Nov 10th. I didn't think he was in *bad* voice by any means, just that he had a very different and heavier approach to the top notes than what I was used to hearing. We may just have different reactions to what we both heard. | |

| Understood, Chromolume. I'd love to see this musical again sometime. Perhaps in a regional, or collegiate theater when the rights are available. (BoCo/Berklee? Emerson?; What do you think?) |

| I assume we have several regionals that will be fighting for those initial rights lol. | |
