The Lehman Trilogy was the best new play I saw this season. Pass Over and Lackawanna Blues were worthy contenders.
Kimberly Akimbo was easily the best new musical for me. I also thoroughly enjoyed Six and thought Mrs. Doubtfire very funny and a must-see for Rob McClure's bravura performance.
Morning's at Seven is my choice for the best revival of a play. My choices for best musical revival would be a tie between Assassins and Caroline, Or Change.
Honorary mention of shows not in a specific category: Waitress with Sara Bareilles, Little Shop of Horrors with Jeremy Jordan, and Laura Benanti at 54 Below. |
