| I actually saw her perform this song as Anna at the St. Louis Muni while I was on an Army furlough in Missouri. Charles Korvin was the King. | |

| Betty did lead roles in three shows at The Muny in St Louis - Take Me Along in 1961, The King and I in 1963 and Bells Are Ringing (with Allen Ludden) in 1966. I was out of town at college and grad school during those years, so I wasn't able to see her performances at my hometown theater. | |

| Was Betty White ever offered a Broadway show? ... She must've loved the stage, having done a lot of summer stock. White really enjoyed playing Anna in ''The King and I,'' and apparently once did it at Westbury Music Fair with Allen Ludden as the King. Could anyone here have seen that? ...
