| New venues keep popping up in the British Capital. In New York it's just the opposite. Is Londons population that much different from ours ? Many New Yorkers flee to the State of Florida; are many Londoners fleeing to Brighton or The Isle of Wight ? Could it be our local theatre going population is slowly evaporating ? We all know the answer don't we ? Just a muse for the New Year. |

| I remember Theatre 80 St. Marks as a film revival house in the 1970s. Back then, there weren't that many non-profit theater companies in New York City. Now there are dozens. So I don't think the comparison with London is apt. That said, sorry to see any old theater go. | |

| The sidewalk has the imprints of movie stars that attended performances there. On the order of L.A.'s Chinese theatre. It is a small theatre that should be saved. There is a history to the place in the East village. | |

| One of the first things Hochul should have made a priority in today's address re steps for this winter should have been an extension of the eviction moratorium, for residents & businesses. Yet another sad loss if this happens; so many fixtures in danger of losing their spaces very soon, all thanks to 2 years of lost business. | |
