I've linked to an article (at that theatre's "Memories of Melody Top" website) about an apprentice's helping Betty get over a case of pre-show jitters. It's a charming story and reflection, and its author recounts what everyone says about Betty White -- how generous, gregarious, and a delightful performer and person she was !! (To access the article, you must swipe down past the introduction and the first story about Chita Rivera in "Irma La Douce." The piece is entitled "An Apprentice Helped Betty White With Her Pre-Show Nerves."
