Maybe "Macbeth" was being streamed but not "The Tragedy of Macbeth" ( two different movies ).
PS: I am seeing "Macbeth" on Broadway in April. not for Daniel Craig but for Ruth Negga's Lady Macbeth.

I think the Coen film, "The Tragedy of Macbeth" does stream on Apple TV+ mid January

I loved seeing it on a screen. Coen shot it beautifully in a pre-wide screen ratio. For an hour and a half I felt as though I was back at the Regency on 67th and Broadway, where many of the films I had first discovered on television took on whole new lives for me. I hope those who first see "The Tragedy of Macbeth" on Apple TV see it as it is meant to be seen somewhere down the line.

We are going to see it tomorrow at local theatre. I was simply attempting to clarify that it is going to be on TV. Saw McDormand in the part at Berkeley Rep a while back and look forward to seeing if there are any differences in her interpretation. I tend to think there may be but, of course, I am not sure I will remember the nuances of her stage performance well enough to actually compare and contrast. Anyway, the Scottish play is always on our list of things to see. Even enjoyed the production with Patrick Stewart directed by Goold. WE did not see it at BAM or the Lyceum but on the PBS broadcast.

I’m waiting to see it on Apple TV. I have too many immuno-comprmised family memes (including granddaughter Phoebe, who is sadly no longer in remission—her juvenile arthritis is now showing up in a related condition in her beautiful eyes, uveitis) to risk movie theatres.

Current reports are saying Omicron may peak by the middle of the month, but hospitals may be maxxed out by then. Hoping things improve by spring; I really want to see the tour of THE BAND’S VISIT,which I likely will never ever have the chance to see again.

This is why I said I hope people see it on a screen "somewhere down the line." This is a frightening era, and I am so sorry about Phoebe's condition. I hope treatment will turn things around.

January, in New York. Obviously, it will be much later in certain parts of the country, and will likely arrive in some of those places in a horrific wake.

Of course. We all have to deal with the cards dealt. So sorry to hear about your grand daughter. Fingers crossed that things start looking up for everyone.
