Producers Barry and Fran Weissler are pleased to announce Tony Award Winner James Monroe Iglehart will be Broadway's next Billy Flynn in Chicago beginning, Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.; New York, NY).

The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago is n ow in its 25th year, Chicago is Broadway's longest running American musical.

The cast of Chicago currently features Ana Villafañe as Roxie Hart, Bianca Marroquín as Velma Kelly, Tom Hewitt as Billy Flynn, Tony Award-winner Jennifer Fouché as Matron "Mama" Morton, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine. The cast also includes David Bushman, C. Caballero, Jennifer Dunne, Jessica Ernest, Jeff Gorti, Arian Keddell, Mary Claire King, Barrett Martin, Sharon Moore, Drew Nellessen, Celina Nightengale, Brian O'Brien, Denny Paschall, Jermaine R. With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago?is now the #1 longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, Chicago is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking, Chicago features set design by Tony Award winner John Lee Beatty, costume design by Tony Award winner William Ivey Long, lighting design by Tony Award winner Ken Billington, sound design by Tony Award winner Scott Lehrer and casting by Stewart/Whitley.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.

Buy tickets for Chicago now for any performance through February 28, 2022, and you can either exchange or refund your tickets into any other date until 48 hours before the performance.
Tickets are available in person at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W 49th St). Box office hours are Monday thru Saturday 10am-8:30pm, Sunday 12pm-7:30pm.. Tickets are also available at ChicagotheMusical.com


SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Vaccination, Mask, and ID Requirements

Performances through February 28, 2022:

• MASKS REQUIRED: All guests must wear a properly fitting mask over the nose and mouth in the theatre except when eating or drinking in designated areas.
• VACCINATIONS REQUIRED: Everyone ages 12 and older must be vaccinated with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine. If it is less than 14 days after the last vaccine dose (excluding boosters), proof of a negative test is also required.
• CHILDREN AGES 5-11: Must be vaccinated with at least one dose of an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine. If it is less than 14 days after the first vaccine dose, proof of a negative COVID-19 test is also required.
• Children under 5 and people with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination may show proof of a negative test. Testing results must be provided by a qualified lab, administered by a heath care professional.
• PHOTO ID: Guests ages 18 and older must present a valid government-issued photo ID. Guests under 18 may also show a non-photo government-issued or school ID. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.
• Guests who do not comply with these policies will be denied entry or asked to leave the theatre.
