I saw this on a huge screen at Alice Tully Hall in NYC last September. The cinematography was impressive. But I found the whole movie kind of deadly and pretentious. I thought having Macbeth and Lady Macbeth pretty much die off camera was a cop out. Give me Throne of Blood anyway.

They didn't even show the wood moving toward the castle (at least, not from Macbeth's perspective. There were some interesting ... choices. Not what I would have done. And why was the set apparently designed by Giorgio de Chirico?
