You voiced many of the feelings I had about it. I’m so glad to have seen it live. I went in early Dec. As an LCT member who ordered early, I had a fantastic seat dead center in orchestra row D. I felt immersed and enveloped by the incredible set and gorgeous music. I can understand that it doesn’t ‘work’ in the usual sense but if you give yourself over to it you’ll be well-rewarded. And Tony Yazbeck was out the night I went. His understudy is the dance captain (unfortunately I’m forgetting his name) and was great in every way.
