| Hugh has posted a video saying he and the cast are back to the Winter Garden tonight ( January 6). Hope all those just recovering take good care of themselves. It's been such a difficult time for Broadway! |

| Why wouldn’t she? She tested positive for Covid more than 2 weeks ago now, a few days before Jackman came down with it. Presumably they chose tonight as a restart date because they knew that was the safest date by which everyone could return, but if either of them wasn’t ready yet, speaking logically it would most likely have to be him, not her. | |

| Covid is not that predictable on an individual basis and whereas one person may be well enough within 5 to 10 days, another person may not be. That being said I have no kowledge that Sutton Foster is still ill and I hope she is well enough and recovered enough to return tonight, the same with Jackman. | |

| stated slightly differently, just because a covid infection loses its epidemiological significance (i.e., the person is no longer contagious) does not mean that the person is suddenly well. Some people have lingering symptoms (taken to unfortunate extreme by "Long Covid"). Particularly for someone who is expected to sing and dance, recovery might take more than 5-10 days. And considering that performers have "assets" that require careful attention, not everyone is going to risk long term damage because the show must go on. | |
