They are lifting the entire exterior shell of the building, but of the interior only the auditorium is along for the ride. There has been a huge hole in the ground where the stage used to be for over a year now. The stage house, orchestra pit, trap room under the stage, etc. will be new.
I live in the area so I've walked by often. A large portion of the wall separating the stage area and the street was taken out early on to allow room for all the machinery to be brought in. You can (or could, I haven't been by in a few days) easily peek and watch the progress. |
