| The people/things you saw that weren't there were people from your past that figured in some trauma? Okay, if so, I stand corrected. But what's depicted in the show struck me as something you'd experience in another type of therapy...not on a psychedelic drug. | |

| Psychedelics can definitely be used to address and bring up traumas, if that is the drug taker's intention and they are in an environment that is geared towards that goal. When I did LSD, I didn't literally see past trauma, but I was confronted by the underlying anxiety of those traumas which I was carrying with me, and the person who supported my trip took me through the process of letting go of that anxiety. A lot of drug taking depends on environment, preparation, and where the taker is at in their life's journey. |

| Mushrooms I always had very intense body sensations. I also stayed in a very contained geographically every time I did mushrooms, whereas LSD I took two laps around Amsterdam seeing things that would have honestly been trippy if I had been sober… to the point that I asked my walk-mate if I had actually just seen a bunch of devils breakdancing on a flat bed truck, and he said, yes. |
