I too enjoyed Saget in the role and was surprised that he was a good as he was, considering that the role was such a stretch from both of his performing personae.
One thing that I remember is that Saget did not play the role as ambiguously gay, in the way that Martin did. Or, at least, he toned that aspect of the character way down. |
