YOu are likely correct that he was consulted. I thought of that after I submitted my previous comment. I wonder if he was additionally influenced by Latin Pride since "Dos Oruguitas" is performed entirely in Spanish. ¡Bien por él! I expect "No Time to Die" likely has a lock on the Oscar anyhow but I think "We Don't Talk About Bruno" could have given it a run for the gold.

Recent James Bond songs have won at the Oscars (like ''Skyfall'' and ''Writing's on the Wall'), so ''No Time to Die'' probably has the edge.

But for the record, a Spanish-language song has won the Oscar: Jorge Drexler's ''Al otro lado del rio'' from ''The Motorcycle Diaries'' (2004).

It beat out ''Learn to Be Lonely,'' Andrew Lloyd Webber and Charles Hart's new song for ''The Phantom of the Opera'' (which I preferred).
