| While you're waiting/searching, you can listen to it on Spotify. It seems to be a very straightforward performance, without much personality. (For examle, in the Julie Andrews recording, Herman is played as by what was once called a Dutch comic. I assumed this was authentic to the original concept. In this recording, he's not.) | |

| There seem to be supply issues right now. Even the official sales site (Naxos) doesn't have stock. So, once that settles out, maybe the UK price will come down. But, from Naxos, it's $16.19 + $14.98 shipping outside the U.S., which is, what, maybe £23? |

| When I'm calling you , double o, double o. On a Friday eve(9 p;m) Jack Parr, his Guest was Mary Martin. She said Oscar Hammerstein told her of an English actress who auditioned. and ,assuming the o-o in the printed lyrics was a phone number, she made a dialing motion as she she sang "double o, Double O ; and now that I've relayed this anecdote, I'll order the cd. |
