| To push Girl out unless it was permanently closing. Mockingbird could easily have moved to the broadhurst (about 150 seats more than belasco) or the golden (about 200 seats less than belasco). It wouldn’t make sense to move Girl to those theaters costing nearly $1m to transfer houses. Mockingbird transfer might be paid in part by Cinderella producers (ALW) to vacate the theater. It’s hard to tell how well or poorly a show is doing without weekly grosses. |
