| all I can say is maybe it was 2 years ago that we saw it with friends, one of which is Julliard faculty (not voice), and left at Intermission. I do not know if it's the same cast. All I know is that the play version at Laura Pells theatre was inspiring and made me want to direct it. Think you just need to see it and find out for yourself. | |

| I provided says it is a beautiful opera. I didn’t see it. Actually, I didn’t realize it had started previews in March 2020. But I was responding to the post that said it was a play and that person might not realize this is now a musical/opera. | |

| The original post reads to me that they saw the opera about two years ago, and they later refer to the "play version" which they felt was better. | |
