| And how lucky we are to have her! I've been a fan since I saw her replace Stockard Channing in House of Blue Leaves. I was initially disappointed to see Channing was no longer in it--but disappointment disappeared five minutes into Baranski's performance! | |

| She was so good in House of Blue Leaves! It was one of my first trips to NYC and I eventually saw it twice -- once at Lincoln Center and then when it moved to Broadway And I think there was a telecast of it with Baranski as well? I loved the running gag of her having worked in every industry and then the 3rd or 4th time the joke happened and she says she knows ski lifts and the audience laughs and she immediately glared at the audience and said "I did! I worked at Aspen" |

| Yes, Baranski was in the 1987 American Playhouse telecast of the play. | |

| Baranski really is a class act. That she sidesteps the opportunity to speak more frankly about Cybill Shepherd when she could easily do so without blowback of any kind, speaks volumes. I hope she writes her own book one day in which she spares no fools and takes no prisoners. | |

| I recently rewatched a few episodes of Cybill, and I felt sorry for Shepherd. Baranski is just so much more compelling, engaging, funny, and attractive. Baranski sitting and doing nothing was more interesting than anything Shepherd did. | |

| I think you may have put your finger on the issue. My recollection of the show (and it's been awhile since I've seen it) is that Shepherd was trying way too hard while Baranski was just...being. | |

| I read a article that described how at one run-through, when ms baranski got a big laugh on some \punch line or other, Cybil insist that she get the punch line and the straight line was given to baranski. Baranski got a bigger laugh just the straight line! | |
