I saw the show right before opening and attended the final performance yesterday. Honestly I did not find the second act problematic at all on second viewing. And this was a gorgeous production with Tom Kitty’s best score and a terrific cast. It was unfortunate it opened at this time. I think it would have played better in the spring. I have no doubt it will be performed elsewhere, probably in London where it will be better received. I can’t wait to buy the cast recording. And Beowulf Borritt outdid himself.

Having said this, I would have cut the penis rocket scene. Just too silly.

There were 4 cameras in the house on Friday evening last week.

There was a cameraman just right of the center right aisle, in Row H seats 401-405 or so, during Saturday's matinee
