| I'm going to SLAVE PLAY and PHANTOM on Sunday. I know it's going to be tight. Can anyone tell me if this is doable? I know shows usually start 10 minutes later. I thought at first Slave play was a 90 min show and I will have plenty of time to hike to Phantom for the 5PM. Sunday Slave play starts at 3PM. If it ends at 5PM Do I have enough time to make it to the 5:10 ish curtain of PHANTOM or do I cancel slave play? or leave early? Any thoughts? suggestions? |

| I don't think it is doable, and I am a very fast walker in this neighborhood. I doubt Slave Play will start at 3pm, it will start more like 3:10ish with Covid check delays. It's two hours. So if you stay for the whole thing and miss the bows you still won't get out till 5:10 or later, and by then Phantom will have started. The walk is just under .5 miles between theatres, Google suggests 9 minutes. I could do it faster and maybe you could too if you run. Why not try a test walk and time yourself to see how fast you can do it before you come into the city? | |

| Go for it. See both shows and there is a good chance Phantom will start at 5 :15. At Slave Play see if you can get an aisle seat and as soon as the play ends your on your feet and out the door. Walk down 8th Ave quickly and it will all work out for you. There is also a possibility that Slave Play may not appeal to you and leaving your aisle seat earlier will expedite the matter. Don't pass up the opportunity to see two shows. You'll regret it. As far as an aisle seat goes if you ask the house manager inside the theatre they are usually accommodating. I never have a problem in situations like this. | |

| You won't be able to do this. Pick one or the other. | |

| I believe Slave Play runs about 2 hours, sometimes maybe even more if it starts late. And the Wilson isn't particularly close to the Majestic. So no, I don't think you'll be able to make it on time. My recommendation: don't leave Slave Play early. Better to miss the beginning of Phantom than the end of Slave Play. Especially if you've seen Phantom before, or if you'll have other chances to see it in the future (which is far more likely for Phantom than for Slave Play, considering the respective circumstances of these 2 shows). But it's also up to you, and how you view the situation: are you more the kind of theatregoer who thinks "This is my only shot to see these shows, so it's better to have a slightly more stressful experience, and potentially miss a small portion at the beginning - because it's in service of maximizing my usage of time"? Or are you more in the camp of "I wont be able to fully enjoy the shows if I'm all frazzled in rushed, and coming in when it's already playing. So it's better to sacrifice 1 of my show slots in order to have a better experience overall?" |

| The Slave Play website says 2 hours. You also have to get out of the theater and onto the street, then at least a 10 minute walk (with all the other playgoers leaving shows around the same time) and make it to your seat in the other house. And remember, they have to screen you for the vaccine pass and security and ticket taker...you won't make it. And I agree with the above-if you go to Slave Play, you need to stay to the end. If you leave early, you'll annoy everyone else at a critical moment in the play, and you will miss a fairly crucial scene. Better to skip it, or Phantom (which will run forever, and you could see another time). |
