I just watched My Salinger Year where the publicists shredded the fan mail without showing them to Salinger.

I -am- my publicist! And Chief Cook and Bottle Washer, too. Though my better half is keeping a steady series of plugs for my book over on his Twitter page. Anyway, they’re digital, so maybe “delete” is more applicable than “shred.” Laura
