Girl from the North Country halted late this afternoon.

At the matinee today the show was halted just before Elizabeth’s monologue and “Forever Young” to correct a wayward lighting problem that plagued act two. The hiatus was about 10 minutes. Joy and Winngham took their places again and backed up. The loss of momentum was not noticed and the heartbreaker of an ending was as emotional and effective as ever.
