| I noted the same discipline at (among others) Trouble in Mind, Mockingbird, and Girl/North Country. At Morning's at Seven, the staff rechecked everyone re-entering from the street at intermission. Yesterday, a man eating peanuts in the Belasco with a pulled down mask was politely asked to cease. Instantly. As we sing the praises of covers/swings, let's add house staff. What a job they've had the last 5 months. Policing 900-1500 8 times a week -- when your job is simply to seat people -- is quite a task in today's tense protocol climate. The vaccination status access makes it somewhat easier; I've heard horror stories about sporting events. But it cannot be an easy job. When the history of this season is written, let's reserve a chapter for ushers and house management. | |
