| it's a cute story, but I think it was way inappropriate for him to sing along. I'm glad Oropesa handled this with grace and even enjoyed the unexpected duet. But I hope his guilty conscience tells him that he shouldn't do that again lol. | |

| Can you imagine audiences speaking back to rhetorical questions next? I'm sure it happens though. Tevye: "A fiddler on the roof. Sounds crazy, no?" Audience Member: "Yeah, man, that's nuts! I have the name of a good shrink -- why you talking out loud to yourself?" | |

| The tenor came in about a measure after the tenor's vocal line would have started in the scene. Perhaps he made a snap judgment that someone missed their cue, and he started singing to supposedly to "save the day". But this was a solo vocal artist concert, and traditionally done in that forum without a tenor singing those lines--unless say it was a concert advertised with a soprano and a tenor on the bill perhaps. Yes, it's a fun story, certainly wonderful how Oropresa dealt with it (plus it helped the tenor has a good voice), but he really should be made to take a remedial course on proper audience etiquette. It's funny that you can also hear the camera operator (or someone close to the sound person) sing softly, but audibly to the microphone, a few words of the tenor line as well. So other people in the audience clearly know the piece to some extent. |
