I have now been to The Girl From the North Country twice and only regret that I can't make it there for a third time. It brought tears to my eyes...not so much the plot, the arc of each character or individual songs as the beautiful totality of the entire production.... The poetic non-realistic approach, the direction and choreography, the courage to take such a creative direction, individual performers, the joyous energy of the entire company.... All of it wonderful as a whole.
Sad to see it go. Probably the best I have seen in several years. Thank you all involved. |
