I was at the Wednesday matinee, too. My 2nd time. I was so shaken (Winningham had been out the first time), I came home and bought a ticket to the closing. It was impulsive, but I don't regret it. I don't believe the show will return, and the quick view of all the seats available for this Sunday perhaps explains why. The piece's power over me remains mysterious.

I saw it at the Public over two years ago (or is it over three years ago now? I don't remember) and just bought tickets to the closing performance at the Belasco. A fondness for the cast recording and the many posts in its favor on All That Chat encouraged my return. I, too, doubt that it will be back, but I hope it finds a new home in the future.
