I went into it knowing very little, expecting nothing. I'm glad I hadn't read this thread with people confessing to the tears, then I might have been expecting and waiting to be impressed by its emotional impact on me -- or disappointed when it didn't come.
I loved it bit by bit. The voices, the arrangements, the world of it... but I never quite knew what it was being or coming together to be. Whatever it was, it really worked on me. I was taken with the whole thing, and ended up sobbing by the last scene, not entirely sure why. |
