| The inclusion of "Mean to Me" has always baffled me, since Waller neither wrote nor ever recorded it. There are dozens of hours of great material that he did write and/or record, though, so altering the show shouldn't be a problem. It's pretty obvious to any Waller fan which albums Maltby listened to when assembling the score, since so much good stuff was sacrificed for lesser material, though anything that salvages what Waller wrote for "Early to Bed" is welcome. |
