I was a college student in New York on a work-study program from 1972-1976 and I was able to afford theater all the time. I saw ‘Pippin’ four times; ‘Equus’ three times. I’ve made a decent, respectable salary in NY the past few years, but I can’t imagine seeing a show multiple times now, prices being what they are.
