Agreed....and it is making theater not accessible to the average person/family who can't afford this type of purchase (I keep hearing that people want to make theater accessible to all audiences!). As much as I love seeing shows, I won't be seeing Music Man anytime soon. Family of 4: $1200 without fees! I'll continue to support small local theaters and non-profits that keep ticket prices to a reasonable level!
The cost of everything is rising making some things just too much for many families. My brother and I were looking at taking a day trip skiing to our favorite mountain here in New England...lift tickets were $99; for a family of 4..that's $400 without food for one day! Yikes. Once again, we'll hit the smaller, local resorts that are more reasonably priced. |
