| The original cast of The King and I. I was only 5 (yes, I am now old 🤪), but there are aspects of it I will never forget. It was thrilling, and began my life in the theatre began then. I have seen more than 2,000 shows. No, I don’t remember details of all of them, but I certainly remember the names of them. There was a gap of a couple of years, then my parents to me to Can-Can, then Kismet. Then there was no stopping me. I went every Saturday afternoon and on school vacations to every evening and matinee I could squeeze in. Yes, I was fortunate to live in Brooklyn and be able to hop on the train and be in a theatre in 30 minutes. And lucky to have such indulgent parents. |
