| Very interesting that the Oscar winning actress (for a musical) and global singing star who did the role in the Broadway revival that made it possible for this show to have a movie isn't doing it. I know her acting was criticized as not up to it, but I actually thought she did a good job when I saw it, and obviously acting in a film with a director guiding every take and editing together a performance is a different thing for an actor like her. Curious how this went down, because I can't imagine she didn't want the role in the movie. |
