| I have no way of knowing, of course, but "a director guiding every take and editing together a performance" as you put it, might explain how Jennifer Hudson is so effective in the Dreamgirls movie. I guess Cynthia Erivo is tied up with the Wicked movie--but would she available to play Celie? And who else might? |
