| My first Broadway musical was Gypsy. I went with my college roommate and we had two aisle seats in the next to last row of the orchestra. “Uncle Jocko” had barely begun his auditions when I noticed the silhouette of a woman with some kind of wild hat standing in the aisle next to my friend. I nudged him but at that moment the woman began yelling and walking toward the stage. Of course, it was Ethel Merman making her entrance. There’s nothing like live theater! 😊 Gustave |
