| It would be a shame if this were filmed without Cynthia Erivo. Hudson's acting limitations were glaring opposite Erivo, Brooks and the strong cast of the stage revival. She's fine in Respect. Interesting that she and Erivo both played and have been award-nominated for playing Aretha Franklin in two concurrent projects, |
