I agree, people forget that Corden has some legit acting chops. The problem is that he keeps doing these cameos in musicals that tend to undermine that reputation—especially given the vanishingly small number of people who have seen his stage performances. I think what he needs is a serious, dramatic role to give people a chance to see him in a different light.
I also think he's a still too young for Bialystock.
