| I imagine theatre fans may be, broadly speaking, a lot more tolerant of his persona than the average person. It may also be partly generational. But a lot of people have a strong aversion to him... finding him overbearing, smug and phony. I think it's one of those things you either get or you don't. I'm sure we all have certain actors or celebrities that we -- rationally or not -- don't understand the appeal of. Unfortunately for Corden, there seem to be a lot of people who feel that way about him. But, he's obviously doing fine with his show and everything so there's enough of you who feel quite the opposite. |
