| I was scratching my head when they put this one on the schedule - it's certainly not a great book, it's certainly not an unfairly forgotten great score. the original production limped along due largely to the great Hilton Battle and his amazing tapping but even then (and it was not that long ago) the show had book problems. I imagine they will be a lot of empty seats at City Center this week for this one - no one is going to come out in the rain and the COVID to see this one. |
