| I thought that THE LIFE has a strong score(I only knew it from the CD) TAP: DANCE KID i assume had great dancing, but a forgettable score. I took my CD down to the second hand store called Encores, now located On Fourth street in An n Arbor. mi. I thought the point of Encores was to bring back shows that had weak books, but wonderful scores , If they looking for Black shows , how about EARLY TO BED (I think the music was by Fats Waller; or BEGGAR"S Opera music by Duke Ellington (t the the lyrics for both shows were by John Latouche, I think. And could some friendly millionaire make recordings of EVERY Encores production? |
