What I will do is repost something lost when previous threads on this were deleted. Martin Moran (Titanic) wrote a book and a play regarding his abuse as a young man: The Tricky Part. He meets his abuser, now an old man. He says:
"He extends his hand to shake, and we do, like two gentlemen - and I say 'Y'know, I sometimes I wonder who I might be if I never met you' "
