NJGUY, I don't know if you've seen this before, but I found a Q&A for ''Bathtubs Over Broadway'' (2018) at the Mill Valley Film Festival.
Asked if there were any creators of the industrial musicals they could've filmed for the movie. Dava Whisenant says Michael Brown, but he passed away shortly after she said yes to the project. And Steve Young mentioned your lyricist uncle, Bill Heyer, as ''a brilliant talent I wish I could've met.''
Young also says Chita Rivera was in the 1955 industrial for Oldsmobile, but in the program, she was billed as ''Conchita del Rivero.'' She was told that if she wanted to become famous, she'd need a shorter name. So ... at the following year's Oldsmobile industrial, she became ''Chita Rivera.'' |
