She shined on the screen on Idol. She was playing herself in the Lifetime and that’s always going to be awkward. She was phenomenal on Broadway. They’ve been talking about this movie since long before the revival. I’m glad it’s finally happening. I love Taraji but I wish Heather was playing Shug. Heather deserves a shot at a major screen role.
